Your next Bangkok adventure just got easier with a new AirAsia X flight from Riyadh

Sawadee Ka, Bangkok… Your next impulsive trip starts now

Still deciding on those year-end holiday plans? Good news for Riyadh travellers because Thai carrier AirAsia X has just launched a brand-new direct flight to Bangkok, giving you one more reason to plan that much-needed break.

The new service operates four times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, connecting Riyadh with Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) in Bangkok, Thailand.

Passengers will be able to jet off from King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh at 9.35pm and arrive in Bangkok at 8.45am the following morning, with the journey taking seven hours and 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, the return flight will take eight hours and 20 minutes, running direct non-stop at 4pm, arriving in Riyadh at 8.20pm.

The new route is operated by AirAsia X using Airbus A330 aircraft, which has a capacity of 285 seats, including 30 lie-flat business class seats and 255 economy class seats.

It’s worth noting that the ticket price includes only a 7kg carry-on, so for wanderlusters looking for a spontaneous getaway or a weekend adventure, this makes it perfect for those who don’t mind flying light.

But if (like us) you prefer extra convenience, you can still customise your flight to suit your needs. Simply pay additional fees for checked-in luggage, meals, and other add-ons.

From exploring the Grand Palace to tasting authentic street food on Khao San Road, this new route offers passengers the chance to discover Bangkok, with its rich cultural heritage, mouthwatering cuisine, world-class shopping, and services – while also connecting to the airline’s extensive network across the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

So, book your seat, grab your carry-on, and get ready to explore Bangkok.
