Fans of tasty Greek cuisine will be in for a treat very soon as popular London restaurant, Meraki, has announced plans to open here. The new spot will be located in ‘the heart of Riyadh’ although we don’t yet know exactly where.
Meraki Saudi launched its website and Instagram profile this week, sharing very secretive teasers to keep its future customers guessing where and when the new venue will open. An Instagram post said: “Stay tuned for the grand opening of Meraki Restaurant embracing the contemporary Greek cuisine in the heart of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia”.
The original outpost can be found nestled in the bustling streets of Fitzrovia, London. It’s bright and airy atmosphere makes it an equally popular lunch spot as it is for an evening dinner with friends.

Executive Chef, Athinagoras Kostakos and his team source the most authentic ingredients from Greece’s regions including Bottarga from Mesologgi, tomatoes from Santorini and butter from Crete so we hope they can achieve the same level of quality when they open in Riyadh.
The London menu includes a vibrant mix of sharing mezze dishes, chargrilled meats and whole fish dishes, giving a true taste of the Mediterranean to England’s capital. There’s even an outdoor terrace for guests to enjoy in mild temperatures and imagine they’re on a Greek promenade.
All of the details about the Saudi venue are being kept tightly under wraps for now, meaning we’re yet to see any details about where the restaurant will be, what it will look like and (most importantly) what’s on the menu. However we’ll be sure to keep you updated as soon as we know more.
