Ithra is hosting three days of festivities to celebrate Eid Al-Adha

With stringent social distancing rules in place…

Eid Al-Adha is nearly upon us, and Ithra is gearing up to celebrate with three days of fun cultural activities the whole family can enjoy.

From August 1 to 3, the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture is offering up a safe way to celebrate and enjoy the holidays to the fullest.

If you aren’t too confident stepping outdoors just yet, you can still enjoy the festivities in the comforts of your car around the outdoor track.

Titled ‘Eid on Wheels’, visitors are invited to enjoy a 45-minute journey around the iconic building that includes challenges, snacks, activities and games.

There’s even a car photo-booth, light tunnel laser show, an interactive car orchestra and musical and dance performances.

At the end of your experience, you will also get to partake in a challenge against the other people from other cars.

Sounds fun? Per car, you will pay just SAR200, and while the centre is open to the number of people per car, they strongly urge visitors to follow the safety rules enforced by Saudi Aramco.

More celebrations await inside the stunning 90-metre high structure where visitors are invited to participate in a two-hour group competition called ‘Explore Eid’.

Armed with a map, participants will take a journey throughout Ithra, but it’s a race against the clock as you have to solve mystery challenges, discover hidden spaces, solve riddles and much more.

There are 20 activities to go through and not without reward, as there are chances to win some cool prizes.

Not only is the activity fun for the whole family and friends, but you will also be exposed to art, history, music and culture along the way.

There are only three sessions per day starting from 3pm and each session lasts two hours. You will be limited to five people per group and tickets cost just SAR25 per person.

Tickets for both activities are limited, so book your spot before tickets sell out on here.
