The official website states five categories under which you can file your photos along with a deadline date. The categories are nature (Aug 19 to 26), archaeology (August 26 to September 2), persons (September 3 to 9), design (September 9 to 16) and adventure (September 16 to 23).
When you post your photos on Instagram, make sure you tag Al Ula’s official Instagram channel @experiencealula and use the hashtags #pictures_Ula and #Explore_Ula
No matter what photo you have, be it one taken with a macro lens, a drone shots or even night photography – you can enter it in the competition.
The RCU will pick five winners – one for each category, and each one will have the opportunity to work with the RCU to showcase their creativity even further by snapping up 50 photos with a commission of SAR10,000.
In addition to this, each winner will receive a Sony Alpha 6600M.
Do note though, that you can only submit a maximum of 10 photos for each category. Your photos need to be of high quality and suitable for printing and skip out on adding the watermarks because those photos will not be considered.
Candid photographers will be contacted by September 30 and winners will be announced by October 31.
