The pavilion takes guests on a journey through time as it highlights the country’s rich past, celebrates the present, and looks to the future and the opportunities that Vision 2030 will bring.
Saudi culture is at the heart of this ultra-modern pavilion
The opening ceremony showcased folkloric drums, spoken poetry, and a ceremonial sword dance and gave visitors the chance to experience what the Kingdom’s Unesco world heritage sites are about.
The pavilion is also one of the most sustainable structures at Expo 2020 Dubai and has been awarded the highest internationally recognised sustainability rating in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.
Breaking world records
The Saudi Arabia pavilion is the second largest after the UAE pavilion and has earned three Guinness World Records. These include the largest interactive lighting floor, the longest interactive water feature, and the largest LED interactive digital mirror screen.
Something for everyone
There’s an exciting line-up of activities, programmes, shows, and dining opportunities on the 13,000 square-metre venue, and it offers something for everyone – from children and families to investors and keen travellers.
The exterior has a large glass facade, offering a huge chance to see your own reflection. It also prides itself on providing very different experiences during the day compared to the night. Expect a plethora of shows and entertainment as well as an immersive spectacle after the sun sets.
And there is Al Baik
Al Baik has been a household name for so many people in Saudi Arabia for years now, but it has recently also become the talk of the town in UAE after it opened its first international outlet in The Dubai Mall this summer.
The restaurant has made its way to Expo 2020 Dubai and, to no one’s surprise, there are long queues of excited customers who are keen to try Saudi’s famous fried chicken.
