Le Petit Chef returns to The Ritz-Carlton Jeddah under a new theme

The world’s smallest chef takes over the hotel’s Saltz restaurant to whip up a fascinating new menu inspired by Marco Polo’s travels…

Dining concept Le Petit Chef, the spontaneous, nomadic, and smallest animated chef in the world, is back at The Ritz-Carlton Jeddah this month to share another gourmet adventure: “Dine around the world – in the footsteps of Marco Polo”.

For those who missed its Jeddah debut at the hotel’s Saltz restaurant last year, the immersive dining experience brings a whole new twist to fine dining through overhead projectors and 3D digital project mapping.

What to expect?

Immerse yourself in the enhanced spectacle as your tabletop is transformed into one giant animated storybook. The delights for your senses are truly endless, but nothing compared to what Le Petit Chef has prepared for your eyes and tastebuds.

This latest showcase spotlights Le Petit Chef’s sojourn across France, Arabia, India, the Himalayas, and China, inspired by Marco Polo’s voyage to the East via the Silk Road.

During the two-hour tale of gastronomic adventure discoveries, guests will witness the chef cross the Atlantic Ocean and traverse continents in search of ingredients and spices.

The entertainment is a feast of six courses, where each stop culminates in inspired dishes from the region, designed with the world-famous Le Petit Chef French flair.

For instance, his trip to India will reward you with tandoori lamb chops or wagyu beef tandoori kebab, accompanied by salad, mango pickle, mint chutney and papadam. Meanwhile, a stopover in China means you’ll get to feast on meaty prawns or lobster with yuzu marinade, Bok Choy, and black pepper sauce, and dessert will be created using ingredients from all the places he’s visited.

It’s an immersive experience completed by a seamless soundtrack that aims to reflect where Le Petit Chef is, as well as a change of scenery for each location, which will be projected on the restaurant’s four walls.

So, sit back, embrace the anticipation, and allow Le Petit Chef and the Saltz team to ignite your palate.
