You won’t want to miss Hellenika’s first-ever afternoon soiree

What makes a perfect Saturday? An exclusive brunch complete with mouthwatering food and stunning seafront views, of course. If you haven’t heard, Al Moajil Hospitality has introduced new brunch experiences at Nozomi and Hellenika in Al Khobar.
The Nozomi Brunch experience
When swanky Nozomi launches a Saturday soirée, you know to expect big things. And big things did happen when we were there to try out its first new brunch, which was launched last Saturday August 27. There were over 30 exquisite creations – from starters and dumplings to signature items from the Robata grill, as well as delectable main courses and desserts.

The menu here is all about elevated Japanese cuisine with European flair, so the highest quality produce is expected, with decadent ingredients and fresh seafood flown in from Japanese seafood markets around the world.
Highlights at the Nozomi Brunch included Chansan Maki, prawn tempura served with avocado, unagi sauce and chilli mayonnaise; Chirasi Special, tempura maki with Bluefin tuna, yellowtail, salmon, avocado, tobiko and lemon zest; deep-fried Chicken Karaage with spicy sauce; Seafood Gyoza; Kaiso Salad, seaweed salad with cherry tomatoes, lettuce and ponzu dressing; miso-marinated Robata Beef striploin; baked Black Cod marinated in miso with pickled radish and citrus miso sauce; and Mushroom Takikomi – Gohan, rice with truffle mushroom sauce and dried shiso.
The meal ended on a sweet note with Miso Cheesecake, Banana Dulce De Leche, and Yuzu Meringue Tart. What’s more, Nozomi’s attentive staff, bubbly vibes, deep beats from the live DJ, and a violinist playing popular hits and new sounds certainly kept the mood high. However, don’t fret if you missed the Nozomi Brunch. There’s another one coming up on the last Saturday of this month. So, be sure to mark your calendars for September 24.
Hellenika Brunch, September 3 & October 1
Here’s also a sign that you should head to another one of Al Moajil Hospitality’s offerings – Greek restaurant Hellenika – for its brunch on Saturday September 3 and October 1. But, first, let’s take a look at what will be on offer.
Take a trip to the heart of Greece’s most iconic island destinations with a sumptuous spread of over 30 refreshing interpretations of Hellenic classics.
Hellenika has recently received Greek Tastes Beyond Border’s coveted “Authentic Taste of Greece” Gold Award 2022 and was selected as the “Ambassador of Authentic Greek Taste” for its outstanding quality, authentic flavours, and contribution to the sustainment of Greek culture outside of Greece.
So, expect the food to be impressive – starters, salads, mezedes, main courses, and desserts, meticulously prepared from more than 60 exclusive ingredients flown in from Greece – but the laidback luxury vibe is even better, with its minimalist Boho-chic interiors and a large terrace overlooking the sea.
Must-try signature creations at the Hellenika Brunch include the Dakos Salad made up of cherry tomatoes, barley rusk, feta cheese and olive oil; Dolmadakia, vine leaves stuffed with rice, lemon and herbs; Kopanisti from Naxos Island, comprising spicy goat cheese with Florina peppers and oregano; Graviera & Mushroom Flatbread; Trahanas Croquettes stuffed with mushrooms and herbs; Lamb Orzo; Beef Sliders; and Cypriot Fries with truffle cream, paprika and dry oregano.
If you have room for dessert, try the Orange Pie – it will set you up for a Saturday afternoon surprisingly well. The exclusive brunch will also feature incredible live music from the sought-after Greek band Casus Belli.
