The new permanent mural installation will be housed at the 150 stunning bungalows which create a truly artistic and creative community at the Cloud7 residence. The launch will coincide with the annual International Day for Biological Diversity. The day is dedicated to exploring the humans’ relationship with the natural world.
To celebrate, five Saudi artists will be showcasing their artworks inspired by AlUla’s flowers, foliage, and trees for a gorgeous display which also incorporates elements from AlUla like weaving patterns, historical engravings, and glyphs.
The homegrown artists include Abdulaziz Arafah, Amal Alenzi, Ohood Abutwimh, AlUla’s very own Raghad Arafah, Ashwaq Abuhusain, and Ghdeer Alnjdi.
The new mural is the start of an ongoing project promoting art through murals and art residencies. Cloud7 also aims to add more than 150 bungalows by the end of 2023 and become a global destination for art, culture, and heritage.
Cloud7 is managed and operated by Kerten Hospitality and is an affordable lodge home to a ton of heritage sites and date farms. The hotel offers a taste of locally made and farm-to-fork dishes, and live music nights with local guests.
