The new airport will mark a lot of firsts in the country. It will be the only one in the region to have a dedicated runway for seaplanes, there will also be no baggage claim at the new airport, instead, the guests’ luggage will be delivered directly to their hotel rooms.

The airport has been designed by Foster + Partners and is set to be a full-scale boutique airport which will be able to handle any kind of aircraft. It’s set to feature planted garden, a resort-like ambience, roof shells for shade, a spa, high-quality restaurants and so much more.

The Red Sea International Airport is also expected to serve up to one million passengers per year by 2030.

The much-anticipated Red Sea Project is envisioned as an exquisite luxury resort destination established across 50 untouched natural islands in a lagoon, stretching 200 kilometres of stunning coastline. So if you’ve been dreaming about your next vacation, you don’t need to look any further.

Upon completion in 2030, the site will host 50 hotels offering up to 8,000 hotel rooms and approximately 1,000 residential properties across 22 islands and six inland sites.
