Check out the Trattoria Night at The Ritz-Carlton Riyadh for a splendido meal

Buon appetito…

Azzurro, the Italian stalwart at The Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh, has been ushered into a new era under the expert guidance of a new chef – Luca Costantini. He’s rolled out ‘Trattoria Da Luca’ night every Monday from 6.30pm to midnight, offering up a Trattoria-style menu.

Chef Luca’s goal here is to whizz you across to the north, south and central regions of Italy through the foods on offer, as well as showcasing the restaurant’s selection of its most beloved culinary highlights.

The minute you step inside, the cosy, simple setting will wrap you up: dimmed lights, dark wooden tables covered with old-school gingham tablecloths, and traditional Italian music playing in the background.

Reserve a table overlooking the hotel’s stunning indoor pool to feast your way through its extensive antipasti selections. Dinner is a sharing affair, with the tapas-style menu offering small and medium-sized bites, such as cold cuts, tomato bruschetta, lobster salad, Caprese salad, fried mixed seafood, and Gnocco fritto.

There’s also the pizza Diavola, which will be served to you before you work through the pasta and risotto.

There are four different menus, which change every week. However, there are a few popular constants – the main courses with four options to choose from – pan-seared grouper, sea bass fillet, Australian Wagyu tenderloin, and pan-seared chicken.

End things on a sweet note (if you have room) and tuck into a selection of treats at the dessert bar – from torta barozzi chocolate cake, crème brulee and cannoli to lemon ricotta cake and raspberry panna cotta. But whatever you do, don’t miss the raspberry sherbet with champagne foam – just ask the staff.

A truly delicious Trattoria night awaits at Azzurro.
