Here's why your next dinner date needs to be at Siddharta Lounge Jeddah
Firstly, it’s stunning…
This may just be Jeddah’s new hottest and happening restaurant. Recently opened Siddharta Lounge is a rooftop pool and restaurant bar that can be found in the Assila A Luxury Collection Hotel, which in itself is a stunning venue.
The atmosphere

Atop the restaurant, you are welcomed by bohemian vibes, with lounge house music lulling in the background, at the centre of the restaurant you’re greeted by the bar which has a DJ booth attached to it, plush chairs and barmen mixing incredible mocktails. Off to the left, is a slightly secluded restaurant area and to the right you are greeted by an extremely inviting pool with cabanas and seated tables surrounding it.
We sit in the restaurant area to the left where the mood lighting is set, with violet hues. The restaurant isn’t very busy yet, but we like to eat dinner early and appreciate that for the most part, the people of Jeddah do not.
Taking it all in
Not only were the staff incredibly friendly and helpful as always, the restaurant had a perfectly succinct menu, something that I am always especially appreciative of. We start the evening with some mocktails and I can strongly recommend the Amaro Amore if you’re after a drink that has a little bit of depth to it.
When presented with the dishes, I, having the spice tolerance level of vanilla ice cream, found that a few of the dishes were a little too spicy. However, a dish that truly stood out above the rest and one that I would go back for in a heartbeat is the tropical seabass ceviche. Not only was the presentation of the dish immaculate each flavour paired so perfectly – the acidity level was spot on, and the mango and avocado offered a sweet tang.
As we were rounding out our evening with dessert (mochi of course) the restaurant really started to pick up, the vibes around the pool were fantastic – the restaurant was abuzz with people chattering away, enjoying sushi platters and enjoying the alfresco weather.
What’s On Verdict: While some of the dishes were a little bit spicy for our taste, the drinks are incredible, the vibes are on 10 and we are already planning another trip to top up our tan.
