Lights, camera, action. The capital will be welcoming Gulf Film Festival starting on Sunday April 14 and going on until Thursday April 18. The Gulf Film Festival will showcase a competitive selection of 29 films from all GCC countries and honour veteran actors for their contributions to Gulf cinema. There will also be a platform for learning and development through three training workshops.

Taking place in the JAX District in Diriyah, Riyadh, the 2024 edition reveals a stellar line-up of participating artists and introduces its curatorial framework, titled “After Rain.” Unfolding across seven halls, courtyards, and terraces along Wadi Hanifa, “After Rain” symbolises renewal and revitalisation, with the title drawing inspiration from the earthy scent that follows rainfall.
