This weekend, use our handy guide to the best things to do in Jeddah. From cool restaurants to even cooler concerts. This is everything to have on your radar.
Thursday August 15
Have dinner at Kimono
There are never enough Japanese restaurants we think, and Jeddah is now welcoming one of Riyadh’s favourite casual eateries. Kimono Jeddah is now open. Setting up shop in the As Salamah district, Kimono first opened its doors in Riyadh in 2018 and has a strong focus on contemporary Japanese fusion cuisine at a price that doesn’t break the bank (which we love).
Kimono Jeddah, ERA8753, 2573 Abdul Maqsud Khojah, 8753, daily 4.30pm to 12.30am. @kimono.sa

Catch Bebe Rexha, Afrojack, and Loush
Known for her molten-rich voice, Bebe Rexha will headline the grand finale of the series, promising a musical journey like no other. Although her work with other musicians has spanned genres, her own material centres on darker pop textures influenced by hip-hop and R&B. In 2023, she pivoted to effervescent dance fare for Bebe, which included the Grammy-nominated global smash “I’m Good (Blue)” with David Guetta. Another headliner is Grammy Award-winning DJ and producer Afrojack, who will be performing his unique blend of electro-house and electronic dance music. The supporting artist is none other than DJ Loush.

Enjoy luscious souffle pancakes
It’s debatable whether a jiggly stack of souffle pancakes, a dollop of whipped cream and maple syrup is too indulgent for a weekday breakfast (or dessert). We obviously think not. At Fuwa, it is popular for its Japanese pancakes paired with hearty boba drinks. Crowd-pleasers include cheesecake, taro and its latest flavour, the tiramisu. What a masterpiece.
