Riyadh is quickly on its way to becoming a massive art capital in the world, thanks to the coveted Riyadh Art project. In line with Vision 2030, the Tuwaiq Sculpture Exhibition 2025 is all set to make Riyadh a gallery without walls.
Returning for its sixth edition, Tuwaiq Sculpture’s open call started on Sunday August 4, and will end on Sunday September 1.

For this edition, the theme is From Then to Now, and after an intense review process, 30 local and international sculptors will be invited to participate in the symposium.
The theme reflects the “joy in the struggle of making,” the symposium aims to acknowledge artistic practices as a fundamental part of the cultural life of cities and as an instrument for collective well-being.
In addition to the artist fee, the program also offers all expenses, including accommodation and a return flight for international artists.
Artists will then create large-scale sculptures in a live setting, made from Saudi-sourced granite of three different colours. Entries can be submitted online from now until September 1.
After applications have closed, the Tuwaiq Sculpture Symposium will then begin on Wednesday January 15, 2025, and go on until Saturday February 8, 2025.
The exhibition for the sculptures created during the symposium will then be happening in Riyadh from Wednesday February 12, 2025, until Monday February 24, 2025.
