Take a look: Desert Rock in the Red Sea is almost ready

It’s an escape like no other…

Saudi Arabia likes to do things out of the box, we already know this, and the staycations? Somehow so far out of the box, the box is just a square. And we’re sure you’ve already heard of the gorgeous luxury resort embedded in the mountains on the west coast of the Saudi desert. Now we invite you to take a look at Desert Rock in the Red Sea, which looks like it’s almost ready to open.

According to the

Desert Rock

Featuring 50 villas and 10 rooms, the resort is dramatically situated within the craggy rocks of The Red Sea. Rather than being built on a mountainside, Desert Rock is being carved directly into the ancient rock to preserve the striking silhouette of the surrounding environment.

Fancy stargazing? The luxe property features specially designed lighting that ensures guests can enjoy the beauty of the starry sky without impacting the nocturnal environment.

State-of-the-art resort amenities will include a spa and fitness centre, remote destination dining areas, and a feature lagoon oasis. Guests will also be able to hike, use dune buggies, and so much more, all designed with a commitment to honour and maintain the site’s history.

Just a 30-minute drive from the Red Sea International Airport (RSI), the property offers uninterrupted views that go out to the horizon, allowing guests to absorb the dramatic desert landscape.

As of right now, the Red Sea Global website states that the luxe resort will be opening its doors sometime in 2024, so we’re expecting to hear more about the opening date soon. Watch this space.
