When Riyadh Season says ‘Big Time,’ you know it means big with a capital B. The massive citywide festival always takes the capital by storm with new inventive zones, new events and top things to do. Recently, residents of the capital have spotted aircraft being transported across the city in preparations for the stunning new Riyadh Season BLVD Runway. See for yourself just what the Kingdom has in store this time around.
Set to open its doors on Sunday December 15, BLVD Runway will be housed near Boulevard City and cover an area of 140,000 square metres. Riyadh.
The new zone is a collaboration between Riyadh Season and the current national carrier, Saudia Airlines, and is set to provide entertaining experiences for everyone.
Designed as an airport runway, the zone will feature nearly five stationary aircraft, providing a new travel experience without ever leaving the runway. There will also be restaurants, cafes, and theatres within the airline’s fleet of Boeing aircraft, including Boeing 777 and Boeing 747 models, which will be transformed into interactive hubs for a variety of activities. Additionally, there will also be a horror experience inside one of the planes.
The experience is designed to let you experience the true pleasure of air travel without long-haul flights. No boarding passes, luggage, or passports needed, just strap in and enjoy.
