Apple is opening an iconic store in Diriyah

It’ll be a sure-fire Instagram hotspot…

iPhones at the ready – Starting in 2026, Apple will open the first of several flagship Apple Store locations in Saudi Arabia.

Apple has hundreds of physical stores dotted around the world, serving as stores, repair centres and community hubs where people can learn to be more creative. Until now, though, none of these glistening Apple meccas have been built in the Kingdom.

Plans are also underway for an iconic store in Diriyah, home to the Unesco World Heritage site At-Turaif, and it’s sure to be a hit with Instagrammers.

While totally unique, the Apple store in Diriyah will still offer the signature experience and familiar store features customers have come to expect from Apple’s other locations worldwide.

Why Apple Store in Diriyah will be a must-see sight

Apple stores are seen everywhere around the world, sometimes on the streets and other times in shopping centres. But we’re pretty sure nothing quite like this one that’s about to open in Diriyah.

Diriyah Season

Diriyah is already renowned for its rich history and cultural significance and is iconic for its Najdi architecture. And soon, thanks to Apple, there will be a new contemporary, state-of-the-art design structure that will help enhance the area.

Imagine entering an Apple Store – full of iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, and other merchandise – with the At-Turaif as your backdrop. We envision this as how Apple is set to bring its products to customers in Riyadh.

Following Apple CEO Tim Cook’s visit to Riyadh, Apple confirmed plans to expand in Saudi Arabia. The company will start with the launch of the Apple Store online in the summer of 2025, marking the first time customers in the country will be able to buy directly from Apple.

Currently, customers in Saudi Arabia have to buy Apple devices through an assortment of third-party resellers.

Details of the number of physical stores opening across Saudi Arabia, as well as their exact locations and dates, are not specified, but watch this space for more updates.
