Jeddah is a city with a ton of personality, culture, and heritage, and all that is about to get a major upgrade with the arrival of an all-new cultural landmark. Welcome to the Culture Square in Jeddah.
Designed to restore historical Jeddah, the square aims to position the district as a global tourist destination. The establishment will create several centres to support the cultural scene in the city.

Covering the main venue for the Red Sea International Film Festival and the teamLab Borderless Jeddah Art Museum, the Cultural Square is located on the shores of Al-Arbaeen Lagoon and spans an area of 26,000 square metres. Also home to the Performing Arts Center, the square brings together the past and present in a seamless manner.
Expected to host theatrical performances, international festivals, film screenings, and sessions inspired by the spirit of “Al-Markaz,” the Performing Arts Center will also be home to restaurants, cafes, and several places to connect and foster dialogue with like-minded people. The square will also have a main theatre with 868 seats, five cinema halls with 564 seats, plus 31 showrooms.
We’re also looking forward to exploring the restored historic Bait Amir Al Bahar, which, according to Asharq Al Awsat is named after a renowned late Saudi poet. Previously serving as a lighthouse guiding ships, the unique single-floor structure is surrounded by large arched windows and was meticulously restored by the project to preserve the heritage of the area.
