Try your hand at obstacle course racing at the Arabian Warrior series
Jump, climb, lift, and run…
For those who want to enjoy the outdoors while getting a serious workout in, it may be high time you sign up for an obstacle course race (OCR).
To most, the appeal of obstacle course racing is that you hardly notice you’re running because you’re more focused on dealing with intense, often military-inspired obstacles that will seriously challenge your mind and body. So, yes, it’s not your average park run…
If OCR sounds like something you’d like to try or are looking to up your game, then this new Middle Eastern obstacle course racing brand, Arabian Warrior, might be the next challenge you’re looking for.
Dirt and sweat are guaranteed – the tears are optional.
Here’s all you need to know about the Arabian Warrior’s Obstacle Course Racing series taking place in cities across Saudi Arabia:
What can participants expect from Arabian Warrior?
Arabian Warrior offers 5km, 10km, 15km, 20km, and 50km events, as well as a 1.6km race for children ages five to 12. The events feature Arab-themed obstacles of varying difficulty levels to ensure people of all skills and fitness can participate and compete.
Participants can simply come along and complete their preferred challenge in the Open Heats (ladies-only and team of five heats are also an option) or compete in the more competitive Age Group Heats, where each runner is timed.
There is also an elite category in which some of the world’s top OCR athletes will go head-to-head.
The winners of the competitive events at each location will be invited to the season-ending championship, where they will be crowned the ultimate 2024-25 Arabian Warriors and awarded significant prize funds.
Another perk: A fan village awaits at the finish line, featuring entertainment and a selection of much-deserved food and beverage outlets.
