La Cantina has now reopened its doors in Jeddah

Enjoy Mexican flavours at their finest…

La Cantina is one of Jeddah’s all-time favourite restaurants, so when it temporarily closed its doors, the community was quite sad (and we can’t blame them). The venue has since reopened in a much larger space in the Al Zahraa district. Welcome to the newly refurbished La Cantina Jeddah.

Remaining true to its signature style of modern Mexican eats in a lively atmosphere, La Cantina has elevated and added certain dishes to its menu while still keeping ones that have kept guests hooked all these years.

Look forward to quesadillas made with fresh tortillas prepared daily by the chefs, like the quesadilla al pastor, made with chicken, Mexican cheese, salsa de arbol, white onions, and cilantro, served with guacamole and sour cream.

You can also enjoy the five-hour-cooked birria served in both tacos and burritos, with Mexican cheese, onions, and cilantro, served with birria broth, guacamole, and sour cream.

You can’t go to a Mexican restaurant and not get tacos, and options here start at SAR18 (yes, that cheap). Take your pick between avocado tacos, Hijazi shrimp tacos, carne asada, guajillo tacos, and taco de camarón (marinated grilled local shrimp with guacamole, cooked corn salsa, salsa frida, and cilantro).

No meal is ever complete without dessert, and La Cantina offers some of the best ones. Tuck into delicious tres horchata cake with salted caramel or the fried buñuelos covered in cinnamon sugar.

The restaurant has previously had pop-ups at the Red Sea Film Festival and Balad Beast too, and now you can get a taste at its permanent home too.

La Cantina, Sari Br Rd, Al Zahra, Sun to Wed noon to 1am & Thu to Sat noon to 2am. @lacantina.ksa
