A haven of Hejazi cuisine has opened its doors in Diriyah's Bab Samhan

This is Michelin-starred Chef Michael Mina’s debut in the Kingdom…

One of Riyadh’s most picturesque spots has to be the stunning Diriyah neighbourhood. Home to Bujairi Terrace, At-Turaif, and now the glorious Bab Samhan Hotel, Diriyah is what makes Riyadh, Riyadh. Now, the hotel is welcoming a venue that puts a spotlight on the other side of Saudi Arabia, the Hijaz. Welcome to Taleed Riyadh.

Opening its doors in the first of the many luxury hotels opening in Diriyah, Taleed is an entirely unique fine-dining concept that brings together rich, aromatic flavours of Hijazi cuisine and Mediterranean flair.

Drawing inspiration from the depth of Saudi culinary heritage, Taleed focuses on combining locally sourced ingredients with global cooking techniques to put together dishes like no other on your plate. Signature menu items include Jeddah red sea lobster salad, made with golden mango and saffron labneh, Hijazi fish fry served with hassawi rice sayadeya, and Michael Mina’s crispy falafel topped with big eye tuna, a contemporary take on the Middle Eastern classic we all know and love.

On to the interiors, the restaurant captures the true essence of Diriyah by using the same 300-year-old Najdi architectural style as the hotel. Guests are ushered into the venue that bridges the gap between the past and present of Saudi Arabia, putting a spotlight on the best aspects of both.

According to Chef Michael Mina, “Taleed is my love letter to the region, a celebration of culinary heritage that blends tradition with modern innovation.”
