This is everything we know about the Esports World Cup 2025
It’s nearly here…
The largest global competition of its kind is all set to be held annually in Riyadh starting this summer. The Esports World Cup 2025 will kick off on Monday July 7, with a fun opening show and go on until Sunday August 24.
This time around, the Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) announced a record-breaking over USD70 million prize pool, a USD10 million increase from last summer’s inaugural event.

With 25 tournaments in 24 games announced to date, including four new games—Chess, Crossfire, FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves, and VALORANT—EWC 2025 will bring together more than 2,000 elite esports players and 200 top clubs for the largest multi-game competition in history.
The EWC Club Championship, the innovative cross-game competitive format unique to the EWC, will award USD27 million of the prize pool to the top 16 clubs based on their overall performance, with USD7 million just for the 2025 winner.
Previously known as Gamers8, this is the second time the Esports World Cup debuts in the capital with its new name and bigger identity. Set to be the largest event in Esports history, this World Cup will feature the world’s best clubs and leading titles.
