Saudi Arabia is pulling out all the stops for Hajj 2025. The Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has just launched an AI-powered robot to assist Hajj 2025 pilgrims.
The Presidency launched the second iteration of the ‘Manarat Al-Haramain Robot’ at the Grand Mosque last week. The initiative leverages AI and advanced technologies to enhance the spiritual experience of pilgrims.

The AI-powered robot, tailored for the presidency, acts as an intelligent reference for religious inquiries, offering direct video calls with muftis for unanswered questions.
Inspired by Islamic motifs, the updated robot design reflects the beauty of Islamic architecture in the two holy mosques. The AI-powered robot to assist Hajj 2025 pilgrims represents authenticity, modernity, advanced technology, and aesthetics. The robot also aims to enhance pilgrims’ experiences by providing easy access to information.
Also on the Hajj 2025 update front is that the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has announced major upgrades for the Mataf (Tawaf area). To accommodate the new Hajj 2025 capacity, the number of pilgrims per hour at the Mataf has been increased. The new changes come as part of a comprehensive organisational plan at the Grand Mosque to ensure the complete safety of pilgrims and to provide a secure, comfortable environment with high-quality services.
