Saudis can now get visa-free entry to China

China will now be allowing visa-free entry for citizens of Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain in a one-year trial, the official Chinese Xinhua news agency reported. Here’s what you need to know about the visa-free entry to China for Saudis.
The new rules will be implemented starting from Monday June 9, 2025, and will be active until June 8, 2026, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said at a press briefing.

The new rules only apply to stays that do not exceed a period of 30 days at a time. Passport holders from the four countries will be allowed to travel to China for business, sightseeing, visiting relatives or friends, exchanges, and transit, Mao said, according to Arab News.
Before visa-free entry to China for Saudis was approved, Saudi Arabia held the Approved Destination Status with China, which came into effect on July 1, 2024. The agreement gave access to tourists visiting each country in groups.
