Dreaming of cruising the Mediterranean? Set sail with Saudi Arabia’s first cruise ship
Relax, sightsee and feast while floating on the Med around Turkey and Greece…
The Mediterranean is a top choice for Saudi citizens and residents (and other tourists, for that matter) seeking the sun, and its varied cities and coast are world-class for cruising.
You could wake up in a different port each morning, while enjoying plenty of sunny sea days in between, while sailing on the Med.
And what better way to experience the region’s many flavours, cultures, and heritage than aboard a cruise with Aroya Cruises?
Saudi Arabia’s first cruise ship has launched its inaugural Mediterranean itineraries, set to commence in June 2025. Homeported in Galataport Istanbul, Aroya will sail to some of the region’s most popular European cruise destinations.
Here’s what you can expect when booking a cruise on the magical Med.
Passengers will spend seven nights across Turkey and Greece during an action-packed week-long sailing aboard Aroya Cruises.
Beginning on Saturday June 21, Aroya will sail to Bodrum, Marmaris, Kaş and Kuşadası, followed by additional stops in Athens, Mykonos and Crete later that month.
In July, the itineraries expand to include Rhodes and İzmir, with Fethiye added in August.
One of the new itineraries will be dedicated entirely to Turkish coastal cities, renowned for their dazzling beauty.
This is a country of colours and contrasts, a place where fast-paced cities give way to beautiful beaches, charming ports, and vibrant resort towns. A cruise here will encompass all the ‘must-see’ sights, and you’ll have plenty of opportunity to immerse yourself in the local culture, learn about the fascinating history, savour the mouthwatering gastronomy, and bask in the sunshine.
The remaining sailings will blend stops in both Turkey and Greece, including Bodrum.
Known for its spectacular coastal and land scenery, and several ancient ruins dating back to 1,000 BC, the city is home to Bodrum’s most famous luxury resorts, boutique hotels, stylish restaurants, and lively clubs.
The town is also famous for its whitewashed houses, which capture the coastal beauty of Aegean architecture. Visiting Bodrum is the perfect choice for those who want to explore the most beautiful landmarks and other iconic ports on the Turkish Riviera.
Onboard, guests can enjoy a wide array of world-class experiences, from a spacious main pool area and a theatre featuring nightly entertainment to wellness facilities that include a snow room and advanced spa treatments.
When you’re not sampling the array of olives off the ship, Aroya Cruises also presents culinary delights from its 12 onboard restaurants and 17 lounges and cafés, offering a curated selection of Saudi and international cuisine.
Travelling with children in tow? The young ones will be kept entertained on board with the ship’s zip line, water slides, and one of the largest kids’ zones at sea.
Meanwhile, guests seeking a luxury cruise with a difference will enjoy the Khuzama experience. It offers access to spacious suites, private dining, and personalised butler service.
If you’ve been dreaming of sun-soaked days, mouth-watering feasts, and breathtaking landscapes, a cruise to these Mediterranean ports will tick all the right boxes. Get booking.
