Catch How to Train Your Dragon in cinemas

Scottish actor Gerard Butler lit up the red carpet in Riyadh last month when he kicked off the global publicity tour for the highly anticipated live-action adaptation of How to Train Your Dragon. Butler reprises his role as Stoick the Vast in the stunning live-action reimagining of the film that launched the beloved franchise. On the rugged isle of Berk, where Vikings and dragons have been bitter enemies for generations, Hiccup (Mason Thames; The Black PhoneFor All Mankind) stands apart. The inventive yet overlooked son of Chief Stoick the Vast (Gerard Butler, reprising his voice role from the animated franchise), Hiccup defies centuries of tradition when he befriends Toothless, a feared Night Fury dragon. Their unlikely bond reveals the true nature of dragons, challenging the very foundations of Viking society. As an ancient threat emerges, endangering both Vikings and dragons, Hiccup’s friendship with Toothless becomes the key to forging a new future. Together, they must navigate the delicate path toward peace, soaring beyond the boundaries of their worlds and redefining what it means to be a hero and a leader.

How to Train Your Dragon is out in cinemas across Saudi Arabia now. Book here.

Take a walk in the mall

Mall walking

Ladies of Jeddah, if you want to go on a walk but avoid the treadmill, the RWG Community is organising indoor walking at The Village Mall. Walking is widely held to be one of the most beneficial forms of basic exercise, and step-counting is a great motivational tactic for achieving fitness goals. But we think it’s also a brilliant way to keep an eye out for the summer sales while burning calories.

Mall Walk, Jan 17, 10am to 11am, Mall of Arabia, An Nuzhah, Jeddah 23532. @rwg_community
