The new Saudi Arabia hotel rules you need to know about
A stay must be a minimum of 20 hours
The Saudi Ministry of Tourism has just revealed rules that all hospitality facilities in the country need to abide by moving forward to align with international hospitality standards. This is everything you need to know about the new Saudi Arabia hotel rules.
All hotels must maintain a minimum 20-hour period between check-in and check-out, and check-in and check-out times must be documented in the reservation confirmation. Hotels and accommodations can set their schedules based on location and guests, but the minimum stay requirement must be fulfilled.

The SPA report also highlights that a guest’s late check-in does not change the check-out time listed in the reservation. For example, if check-in is at 10pm and check-out is 12pm the next day, the late arrival then does not affect the check-out time; the previously agreed-upon schedule still stands. Any lost hours are the guest’s responsibility.
The ministry stressed that this stipulation is only in place to allow facilities enough time to maintain cleanliness and prepare rooms to high-quality standards for new guests. The timing of the new Saudi Arabia hotel rules is calculated strictly based on the reservation record.
Guests are entitled to receive the exact room type, amenities, services, and standards that the property has showcased on booking platforms. Travellers are encouraged to review check-in and check-out policies before confirming reservations.
