Visa news: Saudi Arabia launches direct umrah visa applications

The process has been made so much easier

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has just announced the launch of a brand-new service, Nusuk Umrah, which allows pilgrims from all over the world to apply directly for an Umrah visa and book related services online, without the need for a mediator.

The new service is now open for both pilgrims and accredited local agents in their home countries, who can still be identified through the Nusuk Umrah system.

According to Asharq Al-Awsat, visa applicants can select packages or individual services, including visa issuance, accommodation, transportation, cultural tours, and supporting facilities.

That’s not all, though; applying through the new platform also allows users to customise packages to match their preferences through a modern interface available in seven languages.

To make the process as easy and accessible as possible, multiple payment options are available, making sure that the entire process can be completed electronically.

Nusuk Umrah offers a variety of packages and services tailor-made to fit all the different needs and expectations, ensuring a smoother and richer journey.

The new Umrah season

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced the launch of the Umrah season for the Hijri year 1447, starting on June 11, 2025. For those coming from outside the Kingdom, Umrah visas will also be open now. These are all the new Umrah season updates in Saudi Arabia.

The ministry confirmed that the new Umrah season updates in Saudi Arabia will include the issuance of Umrah permits for international pilgrims starting from Wednesday, June 11, through the “Nusuk” app. Marking the beginning of a new Umrah season.
