Grammy-winning pianist Jon Batiste to perform in AlUla this November
He will be joined by Lebanese star Marilyne Naaman for a moving night of music beneath Hegra’s candlelit skies

And this November, you can experience it for yourself as the Hegra Candlelit Classics concert series returns to AlUla, immersing you in an enchanting world of music and candlelight.
You can look forward to a captivating performance by Jon Batiste, a seven-time Grammy Award winner. The visionary jazz pianist is scheduled to make his debut in Saudi Arabia with a live performance in AlUla on Friday November 21.
Bringing his signature blend of jazz, soul, and storytelling to the enthralling setting of Hegra, this marks Batiste’s first-ever concert in the Kingdom.
Who is Jon Batiste?
Despite being an Academy and Grammy Award-winning artist, some people may not be familiar with the singer, who works extensively behind the scenes.
A Louisiana-born musician and alumnus of the renowned Juilliard School in New York, Batiste is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, bandleader, composer, and television personality.
From 2015 to 2022, Batiste appeared nightly with his band, Stay Human, as the bandleader and musical director on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
He has performed and recorded with artists including Stevie Wonder, Prince, Alicia Keys, A$AP Rocky, and Lana Del Ray. Among Batiste’s many accolades are an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, and a Golden Globe Award for his original score of the 2020 Disney-Pixar film Soul.

On the same evening (Friday, 21 November), soulful Lebanese singer Marilyne Naaman will also perform at the Hegra Candlelit Classics concert. Naaman, renowned for her powerful voice and captivating presence, combines soulful Arabic melodies with contemporary pop.

But that’s not all. The Hegra Candlelit Classics concert series will kick off on Thursday November 20, with a special collaboration between Yoshiki, a worldwide music icon who merges classical and rock in electrifying performances, and Grammy-nominated trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf.
