Via Riyadh

Happening from Tuesday September 23, until Thursday September 25, Via Riyadh will be hosting several traditional events that you can check out. Keep an eye out for the Saudi Orchestra shows, oud performances, National Day giveaways, and so much more. There will also be a King Abdulaziz Arabian Horse Centre, a photography corner, and a kids’ balloon corner too.

Bujairi Terrace

A free event in the heart of Diriyah? Sign us up. Throughout Saudi National Day, you can look forward to a live Samri performance, an Ardah workshop, and a Saudi band. Guests are also invited to experience Saudi coffee bean grinding, spice blending, and pouring rituals.

At Turaif

Back to where it all began. At Turaif is welcoming you to an evening of cultural elegance. There will be a Saudi Ardah performance with 150 performers, poetry evenings, 3D shows at Salwa Palace, and if you want to be in the presence of true history, book a guided tour of At Turaif.

Zallal

Welcome to Zallal in Diriyah, a complex that offers traditional eats and fun treats. The complex is home to Aseeb, Oulu, Base & Boon, and Diom. Each of the gorgeous restaurants will be hosting a fun activation, and you need to check these out.

Urth Caffe

Everyone’s favourite cafe (and mine too) is also going green this Saudi National Day. Start your meal the right way by taking a bite of the bright green chicken sliders (festive, we know), follow that up with a delicious sponge cake, and of course, wash it all down with some of the best matcha in town.

If my scale is anything to go by, I’d say Coya’s Saudi National Day specials look very mouthwatering. Picture soft, bright green bao buns stuffed with wagyu short ribs, and ají amarillo peppers, served alongside a gorgeous green drink made with orange juice and zest, lime juice, kaffir lime leaves, and strawberry cordial. Move on to dessert, and you can look forward to a matcha cheesecake, served with white chocolate ice cream, salted dulce de leche, candied almonds, chocolate sable, and white chocolate maltose.

Café L’Occitane

Available until Tuesday September 20, the Saudi National Day Menu at the most luxe cafe in town, Café L’Occitane, is served daily from Monday to Sunday, offering a refined four-course culinary journey for SAR160. The menu opens with a comforting broccoli potato creamy soup with parmesan crust and black truffle, followed by the flavorful green lasagna with bolognese ragu and green herb béchamel sauce.
