Soundstorm 2025: Tyla to perform in Saudi Arabia for the first time

Global music sensation Tyla will take the stage at this year’s Soundstorm in Riyadh. Set to light up Banban from Thursday December 11 to Saturday December 13, the Grammy-winning hitmaker joins an already stacked lineup featuring Post Malone, Benson Boone, Ava Max, Loyle Carner, and more.
The crisp breeze in Riyadh might be in full swing by then, but with lyrics like “Make me sweat, make me hotter”, the South African pop star’s breakthrough song Water is more likely to leave fans feeling flushed than refreshed in her first trip to Saudi Arabia.

Known for her infectious blend of Amapiano, Afrobeats, and pop, Tyla is also expected to perform her other viral hits, such as the sensuous mid-tempo tracks Push 2 Start, Truth or Dare, and Jump.
We’re hoping she will also be bringing fresh tracks like Is It – one of her favourite songs to perform as of late – from her second and latest EP, WWP. Regardless, her performance promises an explosive night pulsating with Afro-fusion tunes.
Tyla, born Tyla Laura Seethal on January 30, 2002, in Johannesburg, South Africa, is a singer and songwriter who blends Pop, R&B, and South African Amapiano.
She was discovered after posting singing videos online. Tyla’s debut single, Getting Late, featuring Kooldrink, was released in 2019 and achieved local success.
The Grammy-winner garnered international recognition in 2023 with her hit single Water, which was a global hit and reached the Top Ten in several countries, earning Tyla a Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance.
