Mediterranean flavours meet chic social vibes at The Lighthouse’s newest Riyadh outpost
Riyadh foodies, there’s a new destination to explore: The Lighthouse Restaurant & Lounge’s second location at Solitaire Mall.
Known for its Mediterranean-inspired menu and effortlessly stylish vibe, the new spot promises the perfect mix of great food, chic interiors, and a social atmosphere that has made the original Diplomatic Quarter location a Favourite All-Day Dining Restaurant at the What’s On Saudi Arabia Awards 2025.
It’s not hard to get lost in fantasy sitting inside its sleek new setting. London-based Archer Humphryes Architects have done wonders again, transforming the airy space into a warm and inviting spot.

The result is a spacious, arty yet sophisticated sort of bistro, with sculptural contemporary lighting by Ingo Maurer, an attractive open kitchen counter with seats, and an artisanal bakery and patisserie display with a colour pop of tiles defining the area.
In the main dining area, playful floor patterns visually distinguish it from the top half of the room, complemented by warm wood finishes, decorative plants, and plush banquettes that curve to create intimate corners perfect for date nights or reunions with close friends.
A semi-private dining area seats up to ten comfortably, while a dedicated DJ booth adds to the vibe, reinforcing The Lighthouse as a venue where “timeless design and fresh food sparks conversation and brings the community together”.
You can also choose to sit on the cosy terrace decked out in cheerful yellow and white hues, taking in the very last of the summer sun and enjoying the cool evening breeze.
The opening of The Lighthouse at Solitaire Mall also marks the debut of The Lighthouse Bakery & Pâtisserie – your new go-to for freshly baked sourdoughs and focaccias, flaky croissants, viennoiseries and pastries such as Pistachio Mafrukeh Tart.
Start your day with an oriental breakfast platter to share or a Goat Cheese and Honey Pie, then move on to vibrant salads and flavoursome mains. Don’t forget to pair them with speciality coffees or mocktails. From breakfast to dinner, the menu is broad enough to keep everyone happy, making it ideal for quick bites, business lunches, or long, relaxed gatherings.
If you’ve got room after, order the mango tart or the chocolate mousse that’s finished off with some extra virgin olive oil, sourdough croutons, brownie crumble, and a sprinkle of sea salt flakes. And then? Walk it all off through Solitaire Mall and make a day of it.
