The secret's out – Stella McCartney to close out Riyadh Fashion Week in style

The designer’s runway debut in Saudi Arabia is expected to be a showstopper

Fashion lovers, get ready. All eyes will be on Riyadh this week as Riyadh Fashion Week gears up for its third edition from Thursday October 16 to Tuesday October 21.

The capital is hosting its most ambitious season yet, featuring over 30 runway shows and presentations across six days, opening with Vivienne Westwood and culminating with a closing show by none other than Stella McCartney Riyadh Fashion Week.

Marking her first-ever show in the Middle East, the designer will bring her conscious luxury vision to one of the region’s most talked-about fashion moments.

The show will take place at KAFD at 6pm on Tuesday October 21. It will feature a special edit of recent collections alongside a selection of iconic archival looks that reflect the house’s enduring design codes and commitment to innovation.

Stella McCartney’s 95% conscious, 100% cruelty-free collection will be presented to a new regional audience, spotlighting the brand’s pioneering approach to sustainable fashion.

A leader in conscious fashion and material innovation, Stella McCartney will showcase sustainable highlights, including vegan alternatives to ostrich leather in YATAY M (formulated using fungi mycelium and recycled materials), forest-friendly viscose, deadstock fabrics, recycled mesh designed to safely break down at the end of its life, GOTS-certified organic cotton and silk, and recycled nylon, polyester, and cotton.

Embroidery includes lead-free crystals, faceted beaded chains, and resin-based vegan pearls, staying true to the brand’s commitment to never use leather, feathers, fur, or skins in any products.

This debut marks a defining moment for Stella McCartney and for Riyadh Fashion Week, spotlighting the city’s growing position on the global fashion map and underscoring the cultural and creative exchange between international maisons and Saudi Arabia’s fast-evolving fashion industry.

It was also announced early this week that Riyadh Fashion Week will feature presentations from Vivienne Westwood in collaboration with Art of Heritage by Princess Noura Al Faisal, plus a seriously impressive line-up of Saudi designers. Think couture magic from Tima Abid and Atelier Hekayat, sustainable cool from Abadia, sleek contemporary looks by Hindamme, and bold streetwear vibes from Noble & Fresh and 1886.

From haute couture and runway glamour to ready-to-wear and street-style edge, this year’s mix proves one thing: Saudi fashion is having its moment – and it’s here to stay.

In its third installment, Riyadh Fashion Week is now well established in the region, but this year is the first time the official calendar is open to international brands.
