Rocco Forte The Red Sea: what we know about the newest kid on the Red Sea block

The British brand is moving in soon

It seems all signs point to The Red Sea lately (for good reason, too). The megaproject has been making announcements all month long, with AMAALA Triple Bay coming in soon, along with new residences being announced, and now a hotel brand making its Saudi debut. Let us introduce you to Rocco Forte The Red Sea.

Slated for a 2028 opening, Rocco Forte The Red Sea is expected to be the brand’s first foray into the Middle East and North African region.

According to Khaleej Times, Sir Rocco Forte, the brand’s CEO and chairman, said he aims to bring his family’s celebrated collection of refined hotels to the Middle East.

When speaking to the publication, Sir Rocco Forte stated, “We’re at an advanced stage of discussion on one hotel in the Red Sea at the moment,” he said. “It’s going to be two or three years before we see a physical Rocco Forte Hotel in this part of the world.”

The property would house 60 rooms with serviced villas and apartments, the “sort of size that allows us to deliver real attention to detail.”

More about the brand

Rocco Forte Hotels was established in 1996 by hotelier Sir Rocco Forte and his sister, Olga Polizzi. The brand now operates 15 thoughtfully designed hotels and retreats across Europe, including in London, Rome, Sicily, and Munich. Picture restorative spas, restaurants that hero the finest local ingredients, and properties that truly blow you away.

With openings planned in Milan, Sardinia, Naples, and now The Red Sea, we can only imagine what the hotel company will grace us with out here in Saudi Arabia.

What we know so far

Currently, we don’t know which part of the Red Sea megaproject this property will be located in. At this stage, we also don’t know the exact opening date, but more will be unveiled at a later stage.
