Saudi Arabia's first-ever family beach sports festival is here
AlUqair Beach in Al-Ahsa is set to host Ramliyah, Saudi Arabia’s inaugural family-focused beach sports festival from November 25 to 29
Grab the sunscreen and get ready to dive into a world of sun, sand and family-friendly fun. Saudi Arabia’s first-ever family beach sports festival, Ramliyah, will be taking place from Tuesday November 25 to Saturday November 29 at AlUqair Beach in the Eastern Province.
From exciting volleyball matches to a lively festival atmosphere, here’s what you can look forward to at Ramliyah.
The five-day event will transform the historic coastal area into a vibrant hub of sport, wellness, and family entertainment.
You can look forward to some action-packed beach tournaments for both men and women. Take part in soccer, volleyball, and handball matches, organised by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF), which will see local sports groups and teams competing for medals and cash prizes of over SAR200,000 for tournament winners.

But the fun doesn’t stop at the competitions. The sprawling beachside festival grounds will feature a huge Fan Zone area, packed with interactive beach games, a Wellness Zone offering yoga and fitness classes, live music, and a curated food and beverage area serving diverse cuisines.
Plus, visitors can also dive in and try a range of beach sports through taster sessions hosted by the Saudi Sports Federation.
A key highlight of the festival is the debut of Sports For All’s (SFA) Active Program for under-18s. This exciting initiative aims to promote teamwork, fitness, and fun through sports, and to offer youths the chance to get active, participate in activities, and embrace an active lifestyle.
The best part? General admission to Ramliyah is free, but registration is required for both attendance and tournament participation. Complimentary shuttle buses will also be available from Al Khobar and Al Hofuf.
Held under the patronage of HRH Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr Al Saud, Governor of Al-Ahsa, Ramliyah is a landmark initiative for the Kingdom and aligned with Vision 2030’s goal of fostering a healthy and active society.
