Diriyah Season's Souq Al-Mawsim has now opened its doors

The name translates to ‘seasonal market’

This truly is the time to be in Saudi Arabia. The weather’s changing, and the country is alive with all the top things to do. To add to an already massive list, you’re invited to explore Souq Al-Mawsim 2025.

Opening its doors yesterday (Sunday November 9) in the Al-Tawalie district, Souq Al-Mawsim 2025 offers an atmosphere that recreates the charm and vibrancy of decades past.

For this year’s edition, the market is also welcoming Japan as a participant to celebrate the rich culture of Kyoto, marking 70 years of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Japan.

The souq is designed to incorporate elements and details from both cultures, offering visitors a sensory experience that helps them discover everything Saudi and Japanese heritage have to offer.

The gorgeous Diriyah Season zone is open daily from 4pm onwards. You can expect over  20 shops, 15 restaurants, craft and traditional fashion exhibitions, areas for traditional Saudi cooking, and artistic performances reflecting Diriyah’s heritage. It also includes spaces for Saudi and Japanese artisans to exchange experiences, making the Souq Al-Mawsim the zone where past and present meet.

It is the place to source seasonal, locally grown fresh produce, local craft items, and special finds from its many stalls. The souq, with its line-up of performances and cultural activations, makes a great day out for families and groups of friends.
