These Riyadh Season 2025 zones are closed due to the weather

Stay indoors and stay safe

It’s rare that Riyadh sees the amount of rain it’s seeing today, and as such, quite a few outdoor family hotspots have closed their doors. So, if you’re right in the middle of planning your day, we’ve caught you at the right time. These Riyadh Season 2025 zones are closed due to the weather.

Riyadh Zoo

Free zones in Riyadh Season 2025

Unfortunately, rainy days and zoos don’t go together (much to our dismay). For this reason, the Riyadh Zoo will be closed for the day.

Riyadh Zoo first opened its doors to the public way back in 1987 and has become part of the glorious Riyadh Season. As part of the deal, the gorgeous zone is back for the fourth year in a row. A key feature of Riyadh Season, the zoo returns this year with a host of new and educational experiences, from a giraffe exhibit and a reptile house to exciting shows and interactive programs that offer families a refreshing experience. Housing more than 1,600 animals from 170 species, spread across six indoor zones, the park also offers educational and interactive experiences for kiddos and fams, making it an ideal place to explore the animal world in a fun and exciting atmosphere.

Suwaidi Park

Riyadh Season 2025 Guide

Whenever Riyadh Season rolls around, Suwadi Park, a major landmark in Riyadh that opened in 1983, transforms into a cultural haven that celebrates a different culture every week. Currently, the park has been celebrating Sudanese culture, which has now been placed on hold due to the current weather conditions.

So far, the Riyadh Season zone has hosted events celebrating eight diverse cultures, including Yemen, Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and India.

Beast Land

Beast Land by Riyadh Season 2025 meet MrBeast in Riyadh

A fan-favourite zone for this edition of Riyadh Season, Beast Land is the ultimate playground for both kids and adults alike. The zone has sadly joined the list of Riyadh Season zones that will closed today due to the weather.

At-Turaif

At-Turaif

The crown jewel of Saudi Arabia’s history, At-Turaif, will also sadly be closed for the day, citing the unstable weather conditions Riyadh is currently facing. Located in the heart of Diriyah, northwest of Riyadh, At-Turaif is the birthplace of the modern Saudi state founded in 1727. It is regarded as one of the country’s most important heritage sites and a symbol of Saudi identity. For over fifty years, this area served as the principal residence of House Al Saud and the administrative district of Diriyah, the centre of a state that spanned the Arabian Peninsula.
