flyadeal takes off from Madinah with 5 exciting new routes

New year, new adventures – Istanbul and four other Saudi cities are now just a flight away from Madinah

Start 2026 with your wanderlust in full swing. flyadeal, Saudi Arabia’s fast-growing low-cost airline, is making it easier than ever to explore by launching five new routes from Madinah, its newest operational base in the Kingdom.

Whether it’s the historic streets of Istanbul or a quick escape to Abha, Al Hofuf, Jazan, or Tabuk, your next adventure is now just a flight away. With more weekly flights and additional aircraft ready to roll, travelling from the Holy City has never felt this effortless – or exciting.

flyadeal’s additional routes support an already high-demand operation from the Holy City. To date, the airline has operated only domestic services to Dammam and Riyadh, as well as international flights to the Egyptian capital, Cairo. The launch of the five new routes raises the number of flyadeal destinations from Madinah’s Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport from three to eight.

Daily flights to Cairo are now operated 11 times a week; frequency on the Dammam route has increased from 19 to 26 flights each week; and Riyadh maintains a schedule of five flights daily.

The new domestic routes serve different parts of the Kingdom – Abha in the southwestern mountainous region of Asir province, Al Hofuf in the country’s Eastern Province, the southwest coastal city of Jazan, and Tabuk in the northwest.

The expanded schedule supplements flyadeal’s dedicated year-round Umrah flights from several countries direct to Madinah, north of the Saudi port city of Jeddah.

Meanwhile, the introduction of scheduled flights to Istanbul brings a European city break into the mix, expanding flyadeal’s international offering from Madinah.

The new service operates three times a week on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, connecting Madinah with Sabiha Gökçen International Airport in Istanbul, Turkey.

Passengers will be able to jet off from Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah at 9.50am and arrive in Turkey at 2pm, with the journey taking four hours and 10 minutes. Meanwhile, the return flight will take three hours and 40 minutes, running direct non-stop at 3pm and arriving in Madinah at 6.40pm.

With tickets now on sale, all that’s left is to decide where to go first. Bookings are available via flyadeal’s mobile app, website and through travel agents. And just like that, 2026 travel plans are officially sorted for all you Madinah residents.
