A public parking project has been launched in Riyadh

The Mayoralty has just unveiled the initial phase of the Riyadh Parking project, a major component of the Riyadh Public Parking plan.
Aiming to improve the quality of life by organizing public parking, reducing cases of illegal parking, and facilitating the flow of traffic, the project will be establishing over 24,000 parking lots all over the city.

The project will be managing over 140,000 parking lots in residential neighbourhoods. Twelve districts, including Al-Wurood, Al-Rahmaniyah, western Al-Olaya, Al-Morouj, King Fahd, and Al-Sulaymaniyah, as well as four southern districts.
The parking plan will also assist in traffic management and revitalize local economies by encouraging commercial activity near public parking areas.
Launched as a partnership between Remat Al-Riyadh Development Company, the mayoralty’s development arm, and solutions by STC, a leading digital transformation company. The project will oversee the establishment, management, operation, and maintenance of public parking lots in the capital city.
More developments coming to Riyadh
The city is about to go under major development as it pertains to traffic. There are road developments coming to Riyadh. As part of the first phase, there will be four projects which are to be implemented across the city costing most than SAR13 billion ($3.46 billion) including on Al-Kharj Road, Jeddah Road in the west, Wadi Laban Bridge, intersection of the western ring road with Jeddah Road, and more.
