The Riyadh Metro just launched the Bus on Demand service

You can book your ticket through the Darb app now…

The Riyadh Metro is all about making public transport easier and more accessible to everyone. The transport system is now launching the Riyadh Metro Bus on Demand service to make moving to the stations so much easier.

Currently operational across seven key zones, the Bus on Demand service will connect you from pick-up points to main transport hubs.

The seven zones include Ghirnatah, Aqiq and Hittin, Yarmouk and Ishbiliyah zones. The Qurtuba, AlWadi, Al Falah and An Nada zone, the West Al-Uraija and Tuwaiq zone, and the Andalus and An Nahdah zone. The last of the zones includes Aziziyah.

There are two options to secure your tickets, one way is to purchase a combined pass for RPT and Bus on Demand via the Darb app, and the second is to purchase a simple Bus on Demand ticket via the Darb app.

The major public transport system also announced Ramadan timings for both the Riyadh Metro trains and buses. During the week, from Sundays to Thursdays, the trains will be operating from 8am to 2am. On Fridays, they’ll be running from noon to 3am, and on Saturdays, the trains start to function from 10am to 2am. The Riyadh buses on the other hand, will be running daily from 6.30am to 3am.
