An independent Malvern boarding school is set to open its first Riyadh campus
The new school will be the latest addition to the school’s campuses, which already include China, Japan and Egypt, as well as on College Road in Malvern
For the past few years, the UK independent schools have been establishing a presence in Riyadh, with the likes of Aldenham, Beech Hall, Brooke House College, Buckswood, Downe House, King’s College, and Reigate in the vanguard.
And soon, Malvern College, an outstanding British independent school with over 150 years of history, will be establishing its first campus in the Kingdom.
The exact location for Malvern College Riyadh hasn’t been disclosed yet, but it is due to open in 2027. The new school is expected to be the first of several schools and nurseries established in tandem with Saudi investment platform KEIP, giving access to Malvern’s educational experience to pupils across the region.

Founded in 1865 as an independent boarding and day school in Worcestershire, England, Malvern College has a long and storied track record of attaining educational excellence, with pupils regularly attending Oxford, Cambridge, and Ivy League universities.
It champions a holistic approach to learning, and emphasising the importance of activities including sport and the arts alongside academia.
It consistently ranks among the world’s top 50 International Baccalaureate schools, with its alumni including Nobel Prize winners, Olympic gold medalists and internationally acclaimed author C.S. Lewis alongside politicians, distinguished military figures and scientists.
Meanwhile, KEIP, according to Arab News, was founded to bring exceptional early and K-12 education to Saudi Arabia, supporting the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 program by helping to raise future Saudi leaders prepared to compete globally while promoting Saudi identity, values and the Arabic language.
Malvern College Riyadh will be the school’s sixth international campus. The others are in Qingdao, Eastern China; Chengdu, southwestern China; Hong Kong; Cairo in Egypt, and Tokyo, Japan.
