Gault&Millau is bringing the Yellow Guide to Saudi Arabia
Major foodie news
It’s been a big year when it comes to culinary achievements in Saudi Arabia. Just earlier this year, it was confirmed that the almighty MICHELIN Guide would be making its way to Saudi Arabia for the very first time, and now it’s been announced that we’ll be welcoming the Yellow Guide by Gault&Millau in Saudi Arabia.
Announced yesterday at the Cultural Investment Conference in Riyadh through a strategic partnership between the Saudi Culinary Arts Commission, Gault&Millau, and Hospitality Services Middle East (HSME).

The Yellow Guide by Gault&Millau in Saudi Arabia will be making an appearance on coffee (and foodie) tables across the country by January 2026.
The guide actually has a very rich legacy that spans just over 50 years across 20 countries and has built a network of more than 400 professional inspectors and has listed over 14,000 restaurants worldwide.
The three elements of the launch
If you’re as excited as we are about the launch, you’ll want to know what it entails and what to look forward to. The guide will launch as a 350-page print product covering the top restaurants and chefs across Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, AlUla, and Abha. That’s not all, though; as part of Gault&Millau’s global ecosystem, the laucnh will also include a dynamic digital platform. To celebrate and honour the best and finest the Kingdom has to offer when it comes to the culinary world, an annual gala event will be hosted as well.
The history
Founded in 1969 by journalists Henri Gault and Christian Millau, the Yellow Guide has dedicated over 50 years to identifying and listing the finest restaurants, artisans, and specialty shops across various regions.
