Four of Spain’s biggest clubs converge on Saudi Arabia to contest the first major piece of club silverware of the 2026 global football calendar

Football fans, rejoice. If you haven’t heard, the Spanish Super Cup returns to Jeddah this week, bringing some of Spain’s biggest clubs and star players to the city.

It also marks Saudi Arabia’s sixth time hosting the tournament, with Jeddah staging it for the third time.

FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid and Athletic Bilbao will compete in a three-match tournament at Alinma Stadium, with semi-finals on Wednesday January 7 and Thursday January 8, and the final on Sunday January 11.

Fans can expect high-stakes matches, packed stands, and plenty of drama as the competition unfolds.

The four clubs qualified through domestic success during the 2024-25 Spanish season, with Barcelona and Real Madrid finishing first and second in La Liga respectively, while Atlético Madrid and Athletic Bilbao completed the line-up as third and fourth-placed finishers.

Barcelona arrive as defending champions, having beaten Real Madrid 5-2 in last year’s final, cementing their position at the top of Spanish football.

The semi-final 1 tickets are priced at SAR90 for Category 4, SAR150 for Category 3, SAR200 for Category 2, and SAR300 for Category 1. For a premium view of all the on-pitch action, you can grab the Gold category tickets for SAR1,500.

Meanwhile, demand is high for the final, with only a few Category 1 (SAR550) seats remaining and Gold Category tickets priced at SAR5,000.
