The KSA weather update this week warns of thunderstorms, hail, and active winds
The National Centre for Meteorology (NCM) in Saudi Arabia released a weather map showcasing temperature variations across Saudi Arabia. The country is expecting rain and storms in multiple regions, accompanied by hail and more.
According to the newly released forecast, Saudi Arabia will be experiencing contrasting temperatures all over the country, from moderate to near-freezing conditions in the northern regions, while warmer weather is expected in the southern and western parts of the Kingdom.

Thunderstorms accompanied by hail are expected across Najran, Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, the Eastern Province, and Tabuk, along with active surface winds. Similar conditions are also forecast for Al-Jouf, Hail, and Qassim.
In Riyadh, temperatures are expected to range from 13°C to 24°C, while Makkah and Jeddah are forecast to see warmer conditions reaching up to 28°C. The Civil Defence also forecasts light to moderate rainfall over the Riyadh region, including Riyadh itself, Diriyah, Dhurma, Al-Hariq, Al-Muzahmiyah, Al-Dilam, Al-Kharj, and Wadi Ad-Dawasir. The Civil Defence urges everyone to take precautions and adhere to its instructions. The National Centre for Meteorology (NCM) has also encouraged citizens to stay up to date with the forecasts particularly in regions where unstable weather conditions may develop.
Northern regions such as Arar and Sakaka will experience cooler weather, with temperatures dropping to as low as 6°C in Arar and 7°C in Sakaka. With the current forecast, Najran is forecast to be among the warmest areas, with temperatures climbing to 32°C, while Jazan is expected to reach 31°C. Abha and Al-Baha will experience comparatively cooler and milder climates. Fog formation is also expected across the western and southwestern highlands of the Kingdom.
