The incredible resort will be found in Al Ula…
Looking for the ultimate staycation in Saudi Arabia? We think we might have found it. A stunning Banyan Tree Resort is set to open in the country, and you’ll find it in the beautiful, cultural hotspot that is the Al Ula Desert.
Whilst there is not yet an official opening date, when the resort opens, it will be the first Banyan Tree Resort in Saudi Arabia. The resort, brought to you by Accor will play host to no less than 82 villas, a luxury spa, lots of restaurants, and will have a focus on sustainability.
The Banyan Tree Resort will take over the spot formerly known as Ashar Resort, and visiting guests will be treated to some unbeatable scenery with amazing desert views. The resort is approximately 15 kilometres from Hegra, the Kingdom’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Visitors will find 82 villas at the site, 47 of which are brand new. There’s one for every sized party, from one bedroom to two or even three. You’ll get the full desert experience, as the villas are tented, with plenty of outdoor space to relax in and take in the views.
For those who take their relaxation seriously, the luxury spa will offer a range of treatments. There will also be a state-of-the-art gym for the fitness buffs and several expansive pools for the water babies amongst you. Several restaurants will be on hand for when you’re hungry.
The Banyan Tree Resort group is well-known for its attitude and efforts to contribute towards sustainability, which is part of the ethos for Al Ula. All of Banyan Tree’s resorts follow a strict plastic-free pledge.
“This new partnership demonstrates how Al Ula’s unique appeal as a cultural, heritage and nature destination fits with Accor’s Banyan Tree brand, which is synonymous with authentically unique experiences,” said Amr Al Madani, chief executive of the Royal Commission for Al Ula.
