India's Vistara airline launches flights to Jeddah
The airline will operate flights from August 2…
The Indian airline Vistara is launching flights to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from August 2. The new route from India highlights the airline’s plans for expansions, as this is its first venture into Saudi Arabia.
Vistara began operating in 2015 and is a joint venture between Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines. The airline is a popular domestic carrier in India, and the only Middle East flights it currently operates are to the United Arab Emirates.
Vinod Kannan, CEO of Vistara, said: “The launch of services to Jeddah will further intensify our presence in the Middle East. Saudi Arabia shares a strong bilateral relationship with India and is home to a significant population belonging to the Indian diaspora, thereby offering great prospects for Vistara’s growth.”
Vistara is currently running an early monsoon sale across its domestic and international routes. You can save yourself some riyals, so long as you book a ticket to travel between June 20, 2022 to March 31, 2023.

The countries include India, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Iran and Afghanistan.
New flights routes are regularly being added Saudi Arabia, as Saudia recently launched a route between Dubai and Neom. The new flights will operate between Dubai International Airport and Neom Bay Airport, and will begin running at the end of June 2022. While later in the year, Saudia will also launch flights between London and Neom.
