Saudi Arabia lifts all Covid-19 measures
Face masks are no longer mandatory in closed places…
Saudi Arabia has announced that it has lifted all precautionary and preventative measures related to Covid-19. The news was reported by the Saudi Press Agency and the statement was issued by the interior ministry.
The new rules mean that face masks are no longer mandatory in closed places, such as public transport, cafes and restaurants. The Covid-19 rules effect the whole of the kingdom, but at the Two Holy Mosques (The Grand Mosque and The Prophet’s Mosque), the existing rules still apply.

On Saudi Arabia’s flag carrier Saudia all passengers are still required to wear a mask during the flight. Saudi Arabia recently banned its citizens from travelling to 16 countries. The countries include India, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Iran and Afghanistan.
Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, Saudi Arabia has had more than 700,000 positive cases and 9,145 deaths.
As concern grows over monkeypox, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health stated that the country would be ready to deal with any cases. Monkeypox cases have currently been confirmed in Israel, Switzerland and Austria, but there have been no confirmed cases in the kingdom.
