Get ready to get shopping…

Souq.com has relaunched as Amazon from today, Wednesday June 17. From now on Souq.com will redirect to Amazon.sa, where you will be able to access all of the products available on Souq, plus much more across 34 categories.

Whether you want to order groceries direct to your door, pick out a new outfit for the weekend, or pick up the latest tech and gadget, Amazon has you covered. Categories range from just about anything so you’re unlikely to struggle when looking for what you need.

What’s more you can enjoy free delivery on all orders over SAR200, and some locations can even benefit from paid-for same day delivery. The Kingdom currently has three fulfillment centers and 11 delivery stations across the country and a new fulfillment center in Jeddah, which employs more than 1,400 staff members.

Ronaldo Mouchawar, Vice President of Amazon MENA and Co-Founder of Souq.com, says: “With Amazon.sa, we want to provide what customers have been asking us for: the ability to shop a broader selection of both local products and international goods from Amazon. Partnering closely with our local and global sellers, we will continue to delight customers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by growing our product range while ensuring great prices, fast delivery, and a convenient and trusted shopping experience.”

The move is just the first step in Amazon’s plans to expand the e-commerce platform in Saudi Arabia. The company has been working with Saudi Post since 2019 to improve its last mile capabilities, and Saudi Post will continue to be its delivery partner going forward.
