There’s nothing we love more than ice cream. Not sure where to begin? Here are 11 of our favourite spots in Jeddah.

Bee’s Ink

Touted as “organic and pure”, this relative newcomer to the scene uses organic milk, the finest honey, and no artificial flavours. Its eponymous Bee’s flavour, organic milk ice cream loaded with honeycomb and honey drizzle, is a bestseller.

Bee’s Ink, Safia Bint Abdulmutalib St, Al Mohammadiyyah, Jeddah 23623, daily 8am to 3pm & 5pm to midnight. Tel: 056 562 2331. @beesink_sa

This Korean dessert shop has everything from shaved ice and soft serve to bubble tea. The made-to-order snow cream BingBox is their signature. The base typically consists of mango, chocolate, matcha, milk tea, Thai tea, taro or strawberry. You can then select toppings or pick one of their signature combinations. Toppings include fresh fruits, granola, mochi bites, and fruity cereals. Do try their soft serve in waffle bowls and cones, too. You can even put toppings on that, which means there are a lot of options here.

BingBox, As Salamah, Jeddah 23436, Coordinates: H4MV+FJ, Sun to Thurs 1pm to 2am & Fri 4pm to 2am. Tel: 054 875 5559. @bingboxsa

Coco Mango Ice Cream

A throwback to ice cream trucks of yore, Coco Mango Ice Cream has become a mainstay for locals for the sugar-filled treat. And we’ve heard it’s pretty damn good stuff.

Coco Mango Ice Cream, Al Basateen, Jeddah, Coordinates: M4P6+QR, Weekdays 8pm to midnight & weekends 8pm to 2am. @cocomango.icecream

Although the shop’s main offerings are fruit juices and coffees, it also features vanilla ice cream and fruit-flavoured ones, like strawberry, mango and pomegranate. Go for the Oreo combo, made up of the vanilla ice cream topped with Oreo bits and chocolate sauce.

Penguins Ice Cream

Jeddah’s best-kept secret might just be Penguins Ice Cream, a small but cheery place with a classic ice cream shop feel, bringing out the inner child in kids and adults. Penguins Ice Cream has been hand-churning an assortment of delightful flavours with consistently smooth and creamy textures. Flavours rotate regularly, but we remain forever fans of the soft serve vanilla.

Penguins Ice Cream, 7486-7508 Khadr Afandi, Al Zahra, Jeddah 23425, Mon to Sat 4pm to 1am. Tel: 050 386 7817. @penguins.icecream

There’s no denying this venue’s pull – coffee and ice cream. While the coffee is always good, the ice cream is on the same level, with two options to choose from – red velvet or vanilla-charcoal. So, tell us, what’s your flavour?
