Take a look inside the stunning Maraya Social led by Chef Jason Atherton…

AlUla is set to welcome its first signature fine-dining restaurant.

English Chef and restaurateur Jason Atherton believes the beauty of the Ashar Valley, the native produce, and the iconic Maraya architecture are all the ingredients he needs for what is sure to be a sought-after destination dining experience.

Chef Atherton owns and runs three-Michelin-starred restaurants across the world.

His newest addition – his first venture into Saudi Arabia – sees him launching AlUla’s first permanent fine-dining venue, Maraya Social, on October 27.

Enjoy an evening on the stunning rooftop

Maraya Social is a panoramic destination sprawling over the rooftop of Maraya Concert Hall.

Maraya Social

It’s so much more than a fine dining restaurant. This multifaceted gastronomic concept offers a place in the iconic mirrored building where you can relax, dine, meet, and socialise, coupled with glorious views of rock-strewn valleys and canyons of the Ashar Valley.

Inside the restaurant, diners will be greeted by an open-plan design, showcasing bespoke furniture and soft fabric materials including silk, cotton and rayon with colours that complement the natural beauty of AlUla.

Enjoy gorgeous food in relaxing yet vibrant settings suited to your mood – from the low-lit restaurant indoor area with a warm and intimate ambience to the impressive outdoor terrace for those who enjoy alfresco dining under the bright stars.

On the menu

Sourced from seasonal fruits, vegetables, and locally produced ingredients, the menu features a selection of sharing plates served with high-quality mocktails.

It will celebrate AlUla’s amazing diversity of produce and showcase some of the region’s incredible history and culture.

A destination restaurant worth the trip

Chef Atherton said, “My team and I are so impressed by the natural beauty, history and culture of AlUla. I jumped at the chance to be part of the exciting progress in the Kingdom.”

Phillip Jones, chief destination management and marketing offices for the Royal Commission for AlUla, also welcomes the new addition to AlUla’s dining scene.

“Maraya Social is set to be a destination restaurant for the Middle East and the world. We are delighted for AlUla to be the home of Chef’s first restaurant in Saudi Arabia. AlUla presents a unique opportunity both in terms of the historical setting as well as the untapped pantry of produce and flavours.”
